Sold Out Church exists to make Jesus known to a hurting world and to develop SOLD OUT followers of Him.
We are a Christ centered, non-denominational, non-traditional, come as you are, Bible-believing church committed to not only professing faith in Christ, but living that faith daily. Pastor Tony preaches messages that teach how to make the truths of God’s word practical in day to day living.
We are committed to being part of our local community. In months with five Sundays, we forego the traditional “church service”on the fifth Sunday and instead go out to “be the church”by serving the local area. We are always interested in additional areas of need where we may be able to serve.
Why Sold Out?
We believe that Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man, came and paid the price for our sins by dying a brutal death on a cross. We believe that three days later He rose from the dead and after spending 40 days with His disciples and others, He returned to His eternal seat of glory, from which He has always reigned. We believe that it is through His substitutionary death, through His grace, that we are saved from our sins. We believe that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We believe that the Holy Bible is God’s infallible, inerrable word written by the hand of man under the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit of God and that all truth is found in its pages. We also believe that as followers of Christ, we are indwelt by His Holy Spirit that guides us, teaches us, and empowers us through spiritual giftings to fulfill His purpose in the world.
We believe that Jesus came for sinners and we recognize that we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Because we know Jesus came to save sinners and called them to Him just as they were, we are a “come as you are church.” All are welcome at Sold Out Church no matter your background, race, religion, or creed. We are not about religion but about RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ and seek to live lives that are holy and pleasing to Him.
We know that Acts 20:28 says to “be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”We believe that the church is not a building or a place of worship, but we, the believers in Christ are the church of God. If we were bought at the highest price, by His blood, then we had to have been sold. Since we were sold and bought with His blood, we are now Sold Out to Him.
We came together on May 2nd, 2012 when Pastor Derek called a meeting at his house to cast the vision God has laid on his heart. Our very first worship service was the following Sunday, May 6th 2012 at Derek and Amie’s house. After that, we moved into the C3 Wrestling Academy on the outskirts of Conway where we held services until recently. Every Sunday we transformed the wrestling academy into a house of Worship and Prayer by sliding the wrestling mats out of the way and bringing in chairs and sound and production equipment for worship services. In the Wrestling Academy we watched people give their lives to the Lord and witnessed many more people begin experiencing true life change.
In March 2014 we began renovating a building in the heart of Conway, at 1015 Lincoln Street where we used half of the square footage as a clothing and food pantry to help meet physical needs in this city. The other half was used for worship services and Bible study meetings to help meet people’s spiritual needs. This set the precedent for things to come.
In January of 2016, after 3 months of renovation work we moved into the Ministry Center at 701 Polk St. where we continued doing everything we have always done, only better and with more resources to accomplish His mission. We felt specifically led to this location as it is a building where God is already working through the various ministries serving here.
In May of 2018 our first service was held in our new location at 1105 Deer St. This location is the next step in a vision where we can provide a place for everyone to come and worship. This location is a place where we can meet new brothers and sisters and do life together. We would love to invite you to come visit this Sunday and experience what a church family can look like when they love God and love one another.
